CLIENT PRIVACY POLICY
Financial Advisory Service, Inc. and its affiliates, FAS Corp., and FAS Preferred Partners, Inc. (FAS) are committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of all client information. The FAS Client Privacy Policy applies to both current and former clients of FAS.
OBTAINING INFORMATION
FAS obtains nonpublic information about clients through the normal course of business via account applications, questionnaires, financial plans, and transactions.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
FAS never sells client information, including names, addresses and/or phone numbers to anyone.
FAS may disclose client information to third parties in limited circumstances where disclosure is required by legal or administrative proceeding or permitted under applicable law. At the client’s request, FAS at times may also disclose client information to third parties such as the client’s accountants or attorneys.
If FAS provides nonpublic client information to companies providing services for FAS, the third parties receiving information are limited in their use of the information to complete the requested activities.
INFORMATION SECURITY
FAS maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect client information. Access to client information is limited to those employees who need the information to properly service and maintain client accounts. All FAS employees sign a confidentiality agreement not to disclose client information.
DISCLOSURE CHANGES
If at any time in the future it becomes necessary for FAS to disclose any nonpublic client information in any manner inconsistent with this policy, FAS will provide clients advanced notice of the change to allow the client the opportunity to opt out of any disclosure.
