President
After graduating in 1970 from Park College, Max began
his professional career in the insurance industry. Through his experiences
in the financial services industry, he discovered a need in the
marketplace for non-biased fee based planning that emphasized “expertise
and objectivity”. Max soon determined his clients needed more
personal advocacy than was singly available from insurance companies,
trust departments or brokerage firms.
In 1979, to meet the total planning needs of his clients,
Max founded the financial planning firm of Financial Advisory Service,
Inc. (FAS). As a result FAS became recognized as one of the first
independently owned fee based planning firms in the country.
Max obtained his CFP® designation in 1982. He
is also a member of the Financial Planning Association, a registered
securities representative, registered investment adviser representative
and licensed life and health insurance agent.
FAS, which is now employee-owned, is widely
regarded as one of the top boutique investment and financial planning
firms in the country – representing clients across the U.S.
